When I saw Bob's obit in the paper I started to cry. At 70 yrs old I've seen too many obits, but while I've felt sad, shocked, and a little set back, I've never cried like I did for Bob. We go back to grade 7, (and Judy to kindergarten), then they both came back into my life together in Grade 10, and we became close friends. I remember sitting up, having a few beers and playing hearts with the two of them. I always say that Bob was my best friend, maybe truest is the word. We came in and out of our lives thru out the 70 years even if we were not always there. And each time was like the last time was yesterday. I remember Bob and Judy visiting us in Lacombe, Alberta, back in the 80's as well as visiting us at my parents when we came back to town for a visit. And I remember having them both over for dinner at my condo in Wpg several times after I retired. Some of the things Bob did were totally unexpected, such as coaching hockey... from a guy that never played it. He grew into a great man, and great father. I loved Bob and Judy both thru out the years, and my life will be lesser for Bob's passing. I know the Williams clan is a strong bunch, and I know they will look after Judy. I miss you Bob.

My deepest condolences to Judy, your children and grandchildren, other family and friends.
I remember Bob and Judy as dear friends. Bob and his family lived on the next street to me. I went to Sargent Park school with his older brother Stanley. Judy’s Mom and mine shared duties, in the Canteen, at the Orioles C.C. Saturday dances which I attended. I remember how Bob loved Judy unconditionally from their first dating at young ages. I also remember Judy taking me to see a concert with an artist I didn’t know previously. It was Roy Orbison and of course the concert was memorable. Thanks again Judy, be well!
In a twist of fate I am now with Lynn who was a Refreshments server at that concert.

Judy and Karen and family,
I am so sorry to hear of Robert’s passing. He was a wonderful person and will be missed. May God help you to continue on knowing he is in a better place with his loved ones who went before him and know that one day you will be all together again.
