Obituary of Leona Marie McMillan

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Leona Marie McMillan on February 18, 2023. Leona was predeceased by her father Leo McMillan, mother Florence (nee Knowles); brothers Mel and Miles; and sister Sandra. She leaves behind to mourn her soul mate Jackie Ross; daughter Donna (Mike); grandson Michael (Rebecca); granddaughters Aliesha (Chevy), and Samara; and great-grandsons Benny and Theo. As well she leaves to mourn her sister Emily (Cliff); brother Marvin (Lucy); sister-in-law Tammy; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Leona grew up in St. Charles Manitoba. After finishing her schooling she began working at Assiniboia Downs, spent a short while at a race track in West Virginia. After returning she began working at Grey Goose Bus Lines and was there for 32 years, finishing off 5 years at Grey Hound Bus Lines when Grey Goose ceased operations. According to her wishes cremation has taken place, a celebration of life for family will take place at a later date.
