Dear Bob
I was so sorry to learn of Cathy's death. Although I did not know her that well, I do remember that she had a good sense of humor, was fun to be around, and was very supportive and loving of you. I hope that you and your children will be able to find comfort in your happy memories of her. Just wanted you to know that I'm thinking of you and your family. Take care, Pam

Dear Bob,
I was saddened to learn of Cathy's passing. I am so sorry for the loss you and the kids have suffered.
I will forever remember Cathy with gratitude for gifting the material for my wedding dress one evening when John and I were over for dinner in 1985. What made it so special is that we hardly knew each other then. A truly generous and kind person.
It would be nice to reconnect if/when you're so inclined. I'm still at our old phone number (listed under my name).
Take good care, old friend.
Jeannine

I would like to extend my deepest condolences to the Muzeen family. I met Cathy at RRCC Southern Nursing program. Cathy was one of my instructors. She was very supportive and always a cheerleader for us struggling students. Her door was always open if any student needed guidance or support she would give up her own personal break or lunch and share her snack (It's been almost 30 years, but I seem to recall it was most often Smarties) Cathy often spoke fondly of her husband and children. She would beam with pride sharing cute stories or of their accomplishments . Cathy didn't just feel like an instructor; she felt like a trusted friend who was always willing to give you her time and lend an ear. Cathy will be dearly missed, and I feel privledged to have had her as a mentor throughout nursing school. Cathy definitely contributed to not only my ability to successfully complete the program, but I know for many others as well!

I was very saddened to see this today. My deepest condolences to Cathy's family and friends.
I met Cathy in the mid 80's as part of the first northern student intakes in the ACCESS program for technologies. Although Cathy was there for the Nursing and BA programs, she was also a great resource and a big part of our intake. Those great folks at ACCESS were the difference in many succeeding at RRCC. Her door was always open to us, for guidance, for support and for more than once "talking folks off the cliff of quitting ". I did get the odd chance while still in Winnipeg to drop in and say hi.....and I always enjoyed that chance to gab.
It is fitting in your tribute to Cathy that you mention encouraging and uplifting thousands of students. I was one and although she may have never known it, it was just the little nod or smile that made a huge difference not only in my college experience but also in how I have conducted myself in my personal and professional career. She made a difference and I am a better person for knowing her. Thank-you Cathy.
