Obituary of Jeffrey Thomas Morris
It is with heavy hearts and great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Jeffrey Morris.
Jeff left behind to mourn his wife of 46 years Sharon; daughters Tanya (Jeff) and Whitney (Kyle); grandchildren Darian, Kaiden, Lyla and Ella; siblings Betty, Patrick, Gordon, Bernard, Diane; sister-in-law Val; many nieces and nephews; coworkers (ABC Fire and Safety); and many friends.
Jeff was predeceased by his father Henry and mother Catherine; brothers and sisters Kathleen, Winnifred, Harry, Sidney, Irene, John, Mary Ann and David.
Jeff and his wife Sharon were married on July 17, 1976 and shortly after bought property and built their forever home in North Kildonan, where they welcomed and raised their two daughters Tanya and Whitney.
Jeff had a love for hockey and baseball that was second to none. He spent countless hours playing and coaching which was another true love of his, where he made many lifelong friendships.
When Jeff wasn't on the diamond he could likely be found traveling or working for ABC Fire and Safety where he spent 35 devoted years to the fire and safety industry. Jeff loved his work more than life itself, even off the clock he was always telling stories about his travels and people he met along the way.
Jeffs infectious smile, kind heart and willingness to help others will forever be remembered by all those that knew him.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the team at St. Boniface ICU Ward and the amazing staff at the Riverview Palliative Care Health Center.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to either the Riverview Health Center Foundation or Kid Sport Winnipeg in Jeff's Honour.
