Ron took me under his wing when I first joined his top ranked touch football team “The Combines” back in 1980. I didn’t know a soul but he made me feel so welcome, like I have been part of the team for years. He had such a calm and relaxed demeanour but was competitive as hell. I always appreciated our conversations and his humour. Rest in peace my friend. Dan Kinaschuk
