Wally was a very honest and dedicated golfer. He was a PITA sometimes but was a good guy to have on your side.He will be missed by many of us,he was always ready to help.I will have a few more dollars in my pocket these days as he always found a way to extract some either playing, crib, golf, bowling, gone rummy. He was an all round good athlete and totally honest.Missed already by a lot of us.

I first met Wally in the late 60’s when I was a junior golfer at Rossmere. I golfed with him, caddied for him and always enjoyed being around him. He treated everyone with respect and was a good mentor to the junior golfers. I was fortunate to be back at Rossmere for a game last summer and luckily, ran into Wally after not seeing him for many years. How nice it was so see him and talk with him once again; still the same old friendly Wally. My deepest condolences to Wally’s family; he was a wonderful man and will be missed by many. Thanks Wally.

My sincere condolences to Gail and family. Wally was one of the first members I met and played with when I joined Rossmere. Played with him in the snip group and on the senior team. A great guy, great competitor and all round good guy. Always fun to be with. He'll be missed a lot.

Our deepest condolences from Fred & Donna Sokolsky. I've known Wally for years & years. We hunted together, fished together, & had breakfasts together on the 1/st. Tuesday of the month for years. Stories that I could tell that that I've been through with Wally would scare people. I will miss you my friend. Having you as part of my life was a pleasure. I will definitely be there to see you again my friend. Keep a seat open for me. Rest in Peace bud. Be seeing you.

Man will I miss Wally! Wally was my Mens night partner at Rossmere CC the last 5 years or more and to say it was interesting would be an understatement! He had a nack to be able to take some ribbing but would return it with a delivery only Wally could do. He also knew where every wild asparagus, Saskatoon and other wild berries were located around the golf course. At 83 he was still a very good golfer and hit the ball with authority. I had the privilege of having Wally at my cottage in Winnipeg Beach the last few years for a boys golf trip. Truly a one of a kind and the mold was destroyed when Wally was born!
Gonna miss you old friend. Enjoy the heavenly golf course with some of your Rossmere buddies.
