Obituary of Lorraine Evelyn Pacaluko (Okrainec)

Suddenly but peacefully, on April 12, 2023, Lorraine passed away at her residence at the age of 77. She will be greatly missed by her husband of 55 years, George; her daughter Norma Fraser (Neil); granddaughter Diana Fraser (John); grandson Andrew Fraser (Eden); great-grandson Kashton Fraser (and his big brother Trey); sister Adeline Cherneski; brother Leo Okrainec (Donna); brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and neighbours. In accordance with Lorraine’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. A private interment of ashes will be held at Brightstone Cemetery at a later date. She loved having fun and she loved to travel! She and George did indeed have fun on their bus excursions to several casinos south of the border. Lorraine was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved the special relationship she had with her grandchildren, Andrew and Diana whom she loved very much. Thank you to the fire and paramedic first responders and the staff at St Boniface Hospital Emergency for their caring, dedicated and tireless efforts committed to trying to save Lorraine. She enjoyed sharing a good laugh and a drink to go with it, so Lorraine’s last wish was for anyone who knew her to raise a glass and enjoy one last drink to her memory! Vichnaya Pamyat.
