Obituary of Sylvia Irene Mcbride

It is with deep sadness that we mourn the passing of Sylvia Irene McBride. Sylvia passed away peacefully on March 10, 2023, after a brief illness, at Seven Oaks Hospital. Sylvia is survived by her husband of 64 years, Doug, her daughter Dianne (Laz), her grandchildren, Margaret (Bruce), Andrea (Tyler), Nicholas (Taylor), Sam (Matt), Becky (Nathan), and her great grandchildren Noah, Jaxon, Logan, Cassandra, Chloe, Patrick and Hailey. She is preceded in death by her parents, her 7 siblings, her daughter Carolyn as well as other family and friends. Sylvia was born in Cut Knife, Saskatchewan on August 10, 1939 to Oliver and Myrtle Loranger. Special thanks to the ladies at Home Care and the nurses, doctors and staff on 3rd Floor, Unit 6 at Seven Oaks Hospital. We are grateful for the care and compassion that was given. Cremation has taken place and as per her wishes there will be no service held. A private family gathering in her memory will be held at a later date. God saw you getting tired And a cure was not to be So he put his arms around you And whispered “come to me” With tearful eyes we watched you And saw you pass away And although we love you dearly We could not make you stay A golden heart stopped beating Hard working hands at rest He broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes “the best”
