Therese Messerli

Obituary of Therese Martha Messerli

On May 5, Therese passed peacefully at home with her husband of 61 years at her side.

Mourning her loss is husband Ueli; their children, Susanna (Hansruedi) Obi of Switzerland, Daniel (Teresa) Messerli of Tyndall and Barbara (Martin) Moser of Switzerland, grandchildren Stephanie Messerli, Nicole, Alessia and Dominik Moser as well as family members and friends in Switzerland and here in Canada.

Born in Switzerland, Therese married Ueli in May of 1962 where they started their family.  In 1980 they moved to Canada and settled in the RM of Brokenhead building a successful dairy.

Therese was not just a pretty face.  She was a hardworking farm woman who milked cows, worked on the field, had a garden to tend and yard to maintain all while being a housewife and a mother.  She had an enormous heart and had such a great love for her grandchildren.

Anyone who knew Therese and even those who didn’t could see how much she loved her flower gardens.  Her yard was an abundance of color and fragrance which attracted her favourite hummingbirds.

We Love you and will miss you every day.

The family would like to Thank the Doctors, Nurses and Caregivers involved in Therese’s care.
