Obituary of Jacques Lucien Bohemier

It is with great sadness that the family of Jacques announces his passing on September 29, 2023, a week before his 95th birthday.

Jacques was predeceased by his loving wife Annette in 2017 and they are now happily reunited together in heaven.

Jacques will be lovingly remembered by his four children Lynne Nixon, Richard (Arlie), Pauline Bazin (Bruce) and Carole Bjornson (Ben); his five grandchildren and two great grandchildren Ginette (Max), Rene (Melanie and great grandchildren Justin and Sophie), Jacques (Christina), Karine (Ryan) and David.

Born 14th into a family of 16, he is survived by his two youngest siblings, Pauline Renning and Bernadette Hartner.

He was a remarkable man who touched the lives of many. Dad enjoyed his time at the cottage in Lac du Bonnet where he loved fishing and smoking goldeye in his homemade smoker. His many relatives requested and reaped the rewards of his hard work. He also enjoyed building bird houses and feeding "his birds" every morning. Dad was an avid golfer who was proud to say that he had four holes in one and golfed his last game the day after his 93rd birthday.

To all of his nieces, remember, you were the "favourite".

Our family would like to thank the staff at Dakota House Victoria Hospital for their kindness, compassion and support.

Cremation has taken place and in keeping with his wishes, a private celebration will take place.
