James “Jim” Goldrup passed away Sunday October 29, 2023.

Born April 8, 1964, to Harry and Mary Goldrup, Jim graduated from Dryden Highschool and later moved to Winnipeg to study counselling at the University of Manitoba, when a part-time job banding coupons led to a career change into the graphic arts industry. This would lead to him meeting Trish at Sunset Thermographers. They would be together for the next 21 years, marrying on August 18, 2003.

Jim enjoyed tabletop gaming online with some of his closest friends and was involved in many communities: including at Immanuel United Church, coaching football, and as the theater tech teacher and assisted teaching graphic arts at Tec-Voc High School.

Jim was predeceased by his oldest brother Fred (Lee) and his parents.

Jim is survived by his wife Trish (nee Boonstra); and her children Brandy, Tyson, Madison (Jade); grandchildren Jonathan and Jacqueline and their son Tristan; as well as his three brothers Jack (Marie), Tom (Maureen), Lawrence (Marie - deceased); and sister Patti (Wim) VanRysyk. Jim is also survived by mother and father-in-law Ann and Bill Boonstra; sister-in-law Margaret (Kerry) Davies; brother-in-law David (Sandi) Boonstra, brother-in law-Henry (Isabelle) Houle-Boonstra, brother-in-law Danny Boonstra; and many nieces and nephews.

He will be sadly missed and forever cherished by his family and the communities he touched wherever he went.

Jim struggled with kidney failure for the past six years and is now at peace.

Thank you to the staff at St. Boniface for all the care and compassion they showed during his 21 days in hospital intensive care, and Asper intensive care.
