My condolences to the family of Irene Goodman. I knew Irene and Bill when I was a little girl living on Valour Road. (In the 70’s). My parents,Ruby and Ted Daniel, were friends with Irene and Bill. My dad also worked at MTS with Bill. As well, my grandmother Minnie Daniel was friends with Mrs. Goodman (Bill’s mom) living in an apartment on Pembina and I recall visiting her as well. Irene was such a friendly kind woman! I have thought about them over the years. So sorry for your loss. Kelly Delaquis (Daniel)

Hi Kelly. Thanks so much for your condolences. Sorry to be so slow to reply. I remember you when you were a little girl and knew your parents of course through my parents. I knew your dad Ted way before then when he worked with my dad and also recall liking your mom. And yes, your dad’s mom became friends with my grandmother when in the Rotary Villa off Pembina. I heard a lot of good things about her, but don’t recall meeting her. There were all sorts of connections. Thanks again.

My deepest condolences to Ellen and Margaret and family. I will forever treasure our visits with Mrs. Goodman when she would come to get her hair done and have her little naps under the dryer. Rest in peace ❤️

Thanks, Kim. You were very kind to my mom and she was always happy with your styling. She looked forward to her hairdressing outings (and naps, lol!). She missed seeing you when she went into supportive living and the nursing home.

My sincere condolences on your Mom’s passing, Ellen and Margaret. I have wonderful memories of your Mom enjoying brunch at the Scandinavian Centre over the years. It was heartwarming when our Mothers were neighbours in their Senior Living apartment. How your Mom enjoyed seeing my dog Lucie. She truly loved animals. Always impeccably dressed and gracious, she was a pleasure to know. She will be missed.

Thanks so much, Louise. It does seem not so long ago we were all together at brunch and the same at the residence where both of our moms lived. She talked about Lucie all the time. You were very kind to my mom. -Ellen
