We are holding the memory of Gerald and his family in our thoughts and prayers. For Christmas one year our son gave us a book called the Shack. Shortly after Gerald announced in church he would be a leader at Grace’s dinner and a study, featuring the book. We signed up. The study was wonderful and we really got to know more about Gerald. He will be missed. Lori Czayka

Gerald and i sang Tenor in Joyful Sound and after Covid in Harmony Quartet. I will miss His love of Singing, and also, His antics, always alive and funny (Pretty Woman). He would spread Joy and "Happy" at concerts and practices too. His spirit will be with Dorothy and me for a long time. We thank Shawn and His family for sharing His love and spirit with us.

Our deepest condolences to the Martens family! We met Gerald almost 20 years ago when we moved next door! He quickly became grandpa Gerald to our kids and a father figure to us! This picture shows Our youngest asking if he could try the leaf blower and Gerald excitedly showing and guiding him! His patience and love of children and those around him was evident in his daily life! We will miss him terribly until we meet again!

I met Gerald at Wilderness Corps when we were 17. Shawn was my friend and had come along for the adventure. He was such a sweet and gentle giant, with a great sense of fun, and a smile that melted your heart. Although I haven't seen him for many many years, he clearly continued to live a life of integrity, service and just plain joy. My heart and prayers are with all whom he touched, but especially for his devoted family. The words to I'll Fly Away came to mind.
Much love, and prayers,
Frances Gallo and family.
