Richard was born April 21, 1978 to James and Joan Ledbetter. He was a little brother to his sister Teresa. He was Grandson to Joseph and Dorothy Dearman, also to Judy Ledbetter. He had 3 great uncles, Wayne, Ray and Guy (Cathy).
He was always curious and adventurous as a little boy. We knew he would grow up to do great things with his life. He attended H.C. Avery, Jefferson Jr. High West St. Paul and Garden City Collegiate.
In 1985 Richard Walker came into his life and a whole new family. Gramma Francis, Grampa Charles and 2 new Aunts, Carol Crawford, Bev (Barry) Davis.
Now he had cousins Robyn (Brad), Kirk (Danielle), Michael (Riana), Ashleigh (Jordan), Clifton (Robbie), Ashley (Andrew), Jennifer (Kris), Greg and many second cousins.
Rich loved his skateboarding and made everlasting friends, Walker, Steve, James, Jeff, Tony and his great friend Josh (deceased). He also had his favorite buddy, David.
In July 2006, he got a brother-in-law Adam, who is really a great guy and in Dec. 2007, he became an uncle to Henry Mansky.
Rich had a few jobs before he started working at Main Street Project for 10 years. He would eventually became a Corrections Officer at the Remand Centre. He made tons of friends at both jobs.
This is when his life changed, he began travelling around North America and getting tattooed by all of the best tattooists in the world. He also made friends with at the time owner of the UFC, Dana White, Champion BJ Penn and his family. Also the famous boxer Mike Tyson. In Los Angeles he was great friends with Snoop Dog, Paris Jackson and Jeremy of Sullen Art.
He has so many Tattoo Artist friends in Winnipeg, rest of Canada and the United States.
In the last few years Rich had one amazing friend and that was Bob Tyrelle, who is the greatest.
Rich’s life was taken from all of us way too soon, but he will live on in all of us who knew him.
Rest in Peace Richard, we all know you still have great things ahead of you in Heaven and that you’ll have fun trying to change things.
