Obituary of Ronald Gene Shrimpton

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Ronald Shrimpton on March 31, 2024 at the age of 74.  Ron passed peacefully with his wife of 51 years by his side.
 

Ron is survived by his wife Steffie; his children Tara (Sean) and Jason; brothers Dave (Linda) and Ron (Liz); and numerous nieces and nephews.
 

Ron was predeceased by his parents Richard and May; brothers Richard and Albert; and most recently this February his beloved sister Joan; whom he was very close to.
 

Ron worked for the MLCC for 30+ years, retiring in 2004.
 

Dad enjoyed spending time at the family cottage in Matlock with his family and friends.
 

He loved watching NHL hockey and was an avid Montreal Canadiens fan. One of his most treasured memories was when he met his hockey idol, Maurice “Rocket” Richard.

Dad loved spending time in his backyard, with his faithful dogs (Teco, Mitzi, Bodie) by his side while listening to the songs of Elvis.

In keeping with Ron’s wishes no service will be held.
