Henry Soulatzkoff

Obituary of Henry Jacob Soulatzkoff

It is with deep sadness that we say goodbye to Henry Jacob Soulatzkoff, who passed March 21, 2024, after a brief but fierce battle with brain cancer.

He was a beloved friend, father, and teacher of all.

Henry was born legally blind in Carman Manitoba, lived the majority of his life in Winnipeg, and was no stranger to adversity. He pulled himself out of poverty, found a love for education first through tutoring in university before getting a degree and becoming the kind of teacher who could learn and teach any subject in a matter of weeks, all while caring for each student's individual journey and never showing any signs that he struggled with his sight.

Henry was always willing to give as much of himself as was asked to help others feel valued and successful.

He leaves behind many dear friends, two wonderful sisters, two cherished nieces, four amazing nephews, two shining children, and lifetime of lessons and good stories for everyone who knew him.

He will forever be missed.
