Obituary of Billy Chernichko

William (Billy) Roman Chernichko, 43 of Winnipeg, Manitoba, passed away on April 29, 2024.

Billy was born in Winnipeg to Connie and Alex Chernichko on July 11, 1980.

He was passionate about soccer, having been selected to the Under 18 Manitoba Provincial Team.

He worked as a landscaper, his pride and joy being the cutting and fitting of decorative rock. He was very compassionate and soft hearted, adoring his cats and always welcoming with a warm smile.

Billy is survived by his parents; brothers Adam, Mark (Karin), sister Diana (Devin); nieces Emily, Sascha, Carmel; nephews Roman and Isaak and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

A church service will be held at St. Mary’s Cathedral at a later date with Father Geoffrey Angeles officiating.

Memorial donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society.
