Aunt Magda, hope you are fairing well with your loss of Uncle Gene? It is difficult to know what to say after having not been in touch for so long - my fault for that.
I have always had great memories about the times we spent together, especially when I arrived at Grandma’s place on my motorcycle and the next thing we knew - we were having a great Kohut hoe-down!!
I have never forgotten yours and Gene’s generosity - thank you for who you both have been!!!
I wish you the very best and hope you stay well.
Love Tom

Aunty Mag,
So sorry to hear about Uncle Gene. He and you are among some of my favourite memories. Loved his humour character and his outlook on life.. As a teenager I remember being dazzled by you two together and your obvious love for each other.
Although I have been distant, you and yours have crossed in my thoughts always over time.
Sincere condolences and much love.

My deepest sympathies for the loss of Gene. Gene was a very kind man and had an appealing charm which usually gave way to make us see the humorous side of any situation. He was instantly likeable. He was not afraid to challenge a topic and always graceful with his own responses. He was engaging...never sharp, always a straight shooter. I will miss his knowledge, his humor and his friendship. I liked uncle Eugene and will miss him. He was one of a kind.
I remember his home made colour tv. When he lived just north of Mountain ave he invited me into his basement (root cellar) to see it It was a black and white with a big wheel in front bolted to a motor. It had the primary colours on it. He turn the spinning wheel on also the tv. He stood back and was happy with want He made. It was amazing but it was so dangerous Because that wheel was spinning.
We will not talk about his old model T that sounded like a truck when the family lived in Oakbank..
Thanks for stepping up when my parents died.
