Sharon and I will always be thankful for the memories when we were around Ethel. She always had a smile and a kind word. We particularly loved her humorous comments. She was always laughing and brought us a lot of joy.

Ethel "Auntie Ethel" to us, was a gift to myself and our family. She taught me that an adult could be silly, with her "Donald Duck voice" at the dinner table. I have such wonderful memories of our families enjoying summers at Middle lake and sharing dinners together in Transcona. She was much loved and will be missed.

Thank you for all the breakfast dates Grandma. The years of advice and laughs. For every phone call. Thank you for instilling a love for books and writing. For teaching me so very much. And putting our history to paper. Thank you for loving us all so very much. I love you and I’ll miss you like crazy. Take care of Drew for me please. And I’ll hold the fort down here. Love you.
