I was so sorry to hear about Jarrett's passing. He was my best friend growing up, and he was an absolutely amazing human being. He was so important to me. I would love to connect with the family to talk about him.

I’m going to miss Jarrett. He was the only one at Jessica lake that made me feel acceptance. He was so caring and if it was not for him I wouldn’t be able to jump off cliffs! Or go on adventures. He was brilliant and showed me there was so much out there in the world besides a tv. I’m going to miss him. He was a great cousin and a great man.

To Kathy, Medric and Family – my deepest condolences on the loss of such a fine young man. I echo Mark’s sentiments about Jarrett’s willingness to help out wherever he could, and the fact that he would go out of his way to be there. One of the last summers that my Mom and Dad were at the lake, I was requested to hall a new fridge all the way from Calgary to the cottage – and guess who was waiting at the cottage to be there to help me haul the fridge off my truck and into the cottage and then haul the old fridge to the shed – you guessed it, it was Jarrett – he took time out of his day to travel to the cottage ahead of our arrival so that we wouldn’t have to wait to move the fridge – as always, selfless and always thinking of others. Medric and Kathy, you definitely raised a strong, caring and wonderful young man – he will be sorely missed, but I hope his memories will live long in your hearts – I know he will in mine!
From myself and my family - to all of you in the Comberbach family...again, my deepest condolences.
Love Randy Fleming

Jarrett was such a wonderful young man. Both Kim and I really enjoyed being around him. He was so willing to help out anyone who was in need. He was funny, polite, kind, and always had a smile on his face.
Kim and I last saw Jarrett at Jessica Lake in July of 2021. We were putting new flooring in the cottage and he went out of his way to store it, load it on his trailer, haul it to the lake and then unload it in our shed. This is the kind of thing Jarrett would do without question. Kathy and Medric, you raised a fine young man. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you.
During the 2020 Covid summer I was down at the lake for a couple of weeks and was concerned about the huge poplars that were growing up around and over the cottage. One big wind and we would be sure to have a massive tree on our roof. Jarrett was quick to offer his help. He brought down his climbing gear, suited up and within minutes had scaled to near the top of the biggest one. A few minutes later he had rigged up a pulley system and then he started up the chain saw. I was absolutely amazed at his prowess while 30 metres up in the air. It was hard work (for him) but within a couple of hours all the offending trees were down and loaded in the trailer. These are the kinds of things Jarrett would do without question.
One of the photos I added with this message is of Jarrett and my Dad (who passed away in April of 2021). Two of our favourite guys in one photo. I wish we had taken more of them both.
Jarrett was a master on the water. He could handle a kayak like no one else we know. He was at home and at peace at the lake...Jessica Lake or any lake.
From Kim and me - to all of you in the Comberbach family...our deepest condolences. The sadness of seeing Jarrett's young life end far to soon weighs upon us but we seek comfort from the wonderful memories of a good young man who made our lives better by knowing him.
Love Kim and Mark Fleming

My deepest condolences to Uncle Medric, Aunty Kathy, Craig and Jenna. Jarrett was my best bud, he was my partner in crime, he was always up for doing anything with me. We loved cross country skiing together, and had made a pack ti do as much as we could this year once the snow arrived. We road our bikes together in the Whiteshell, and Birds Bill Park. I remember going for many walks at the lake, climbing the face of the Big Hill, jumping off Turtle rock and rainbow falls, kayaking, and his adventures lead him to finding the cliff at White Lake that our parents jumped from when they were kids, he even made a rope ladder to climb the cliff to make it easier to get back up. He was on board when I asked to go zip lining to support me and my fear of heights. We had a blast!! He had no fear running and jumping from the tallest tower they had over the gorge. We had many great visits, dinners and was always up to come and meet my new pups. He had a great love of dogs and the feeling was mutual. We talked often about life and what was the next adventure he was doing. He shared his love of his tower views with all the amazing pictures he took. One of his proudest times was taking a tower apart with the aid of a helicopter, it was a crazy video and he had the biggest smile and celebration after it was done. I miss you everyday cousin, we have so many wonderful memories and have enjoyed every moment we had together.

First of all....our deepest condolences to his family. Jarrett was a very outgoing, friendly nephew. He was always ready to help with whatever was needed, whether with advice,or physical labor. We watched him grow from a sarcastic and outgoing youngster, to a sarcastic and outgoing adult....lol. His wit and humor will be remembered forever. He was never shy about saying EXACTLY what he was thinking, whenever he felt like saying it. That is what made him so unique, and loved. He will be missed by everyone that knew him. RIP buddy.
