We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Ed on February 14th at 75 years of age.
He leaves to mourn him his devoted wife Brenda; sons Darrell, Kelley, and Tyler (Stephanie); five grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ed was predeceased by his parents, Jacob and Margaret Derksen; and his brothers and sisters.
Ed struggled with Hypophosphatasia his whole life and we are very grateful to Dr. Cheryl Rockman-Greenberg for her compassionate and extraordinary care. He was recently diagnosed with multiple myleoma which he bravely fought against.
Ed's career was in sales and he loved meeting and talking with all the different people he met. He really enjoyed playing cards and was always ready for a game.
We wish to thank the skilled and caring staff in Surgical ICU at Health Sciences Center, as well as the staff at Cancer Care in Selkirk General Hospital.
At Ed's request cremation has taken place, and a family graveside service will be held at a later date.
