My sincere condolences to Kathy’s family. I had the pleasure of knowing Kathy through the regular Flin Flon luncheons held at the Viscount Gort Hotel. For several years Kathy was one of the people who phoned a list of people to remind them of the upcoming luncheon. We will miss seeing her at our Christmas luncheon on Friday, Dec. 9th. May she Rest In Peace.
Kathy was a neighbor and a friend from the fist day we bought our house. We enjoyed our chats, dinners, card games, and an occasional glass of wine! My deepest condolences to Cheryl & Adrian, Christine, and Tracy as you mourn the passing of your mother. I'm going to miss you dearly, Kathy. Say hi to Bob for me. Love Val <3

Kathy was a true trade unionist and had many friends within the broader CUPE family. As mentioned she was honoured with the Jack Rodie CUPE Member of the Year honour in the mid-1990's. The labour movement is built by the dedication of its rank and file activists and Kathy was amongst the best, she personified what it means to be a true trade unionist.

I worked with Kathy for many years at Concordia and on the CUPE executive and after retirement, I enjoyed running into her in and around EK. Kathy was a firecracker and glad the family has lots of wonderful memories to hold on to.
My condolences to the family. I remember Kathy fondly as a CUPE activist and spent a lot of time with her when she was part of health care negotiations. Kathy worked hard and played hard. We faced many struggles but also had victories and celebrations.
