We are all saddened by the loss and passing of Bob Carnegie, lifelong friend of our whole family. I first met Bob ( he was always known as Rog to me), when we started school together at Lord Selkirk School, in Grade 1 at the age of 5 years. Although we lived several blocks away from each other in Elmwood, we soon became good friends, and then best friends.
Throughout our school years and into our adult life, Rog spent many weekends with our family at the cottage at Dorothy Lake. When Marian and I were married, Rog was our best man. When Judy came on the scene, we all spent a lot of time together, and Marian and Judy became best friends.
Rog was an extremely easy to like kind of person, always quiet, and calm. I don’t remember anyone saying anything negative about Rog, and I don’t remember him ever saying anything negative about anyone else.
He will be fondly remembered by everyone in our family, and we will all miss him. Rest in peace, Rog. We love you and look forward to seeing you again one day.
