Our condolences to Ken’s family.
Ida and I have many memories of Ken at the lake in Ingolf, ON. In particular are the ones where he would come out to celebrate Joe and Debbie’s yearly “Wild on Ingolf” weekend with the gang. Always up for a good time, Ken would eagerly join in for a game of poker or trivial pursuit. Always the competitor, Ken would go to great lengths to debate his answers in trivial pursuit whether right or wrong, especially with the girls. One could easily have time to take a beer break and share a good laugh as Kenny would be still debating when you returned to the game.
Ken also participated in our yearly Christmas dinners with the group (Leo and Freda, Debbie and Joe, Bruno and Paulette, Lori and Grant). Always the practical joker, Ken always made us laugh-you will be missed by all. RIP our good friend.

We have so many happy memories, gathering as a family with Ken for all kinds of occasions and celebrations. Ken was especially gracious to share birthday parties with the other April babies, Linda and Ed! It's too bad he always missed Santa when he came to visit us on Christmas Eve.We'll miss you Uncle Kenny.

My sincere condolences to the Carpenter family. My name is Joe DaSilva, a long time friend of Kenny. We date back to the fall of 1961 at Pinkham School where I first met Kenny, however, not speaking a word of English. We quickly became friends in grade one trading comic books. We continued our friendship throughout Pinkham then onto Hugh John MacDonald for grades 7 to 9 where we expanded our friendships along with Bruno, Leo and Danny playing a variety of sports. He was forever playing tricks on others using his wit and humour. After continuing onto Daniel McIntryre Collegiate, we still found time to enjoy high school life, dances, bars etc. Then in the fall of 1974, Ken’s brother Lawrence owed him a favour and we used his vehicle to go on a road trip together for two weeks to Toronto, Quebec City and Montreal. We were just two ‘hippies’ occasionally slumming overnights in the car with little money. With Kenny, there was never a dull moment. It was quite the adventure as I’m sure you can read between the lines. I continued my friendship with Kenny by inviting his family to the lake during our crazy wild on Ingolf days. And of course, the adventures continued. I will miss you my friend Ken. Rest In Peace. Joe (and Debbie) DaSilva

I am ever so grateful for the photo album my Dad and Cathy made for me and I have cherished it since i was six years old. Here a few of my favourites. The one of my Dad “fishing” brought me the most joy and the one i turned to most when i was a little girl who was missing her Daddy. I may not have as many wonderful memories, but i hold the few i have dear to my heart. I will love him and miss him forever. Ken’s eldest daughter, Sasha-Lee
